The On Cloudrush is a shoe that has the speed of a racing flat, the comfort of a marathon shoe. It's the kind of shoe you'll want with you when you're racing hard, but know that your form is less than perfect. The Cloudrush is the update of the Cloudracer, which seemed to come out of nowhere to win the Ironman. With the Cloudrush, the shoe has been improved on all fronts. Lighter, faster, more accommodating. Lighter. The weight is 220g (7.8 ounces) in a US Men's 8.5 shoe. IT has a new, minimal upper, with a one-piece wrap around the foot from the ankle forward. It's supported by interior taping in strategic spots to better anchor the upper without a gain in weight. The heel is wrapped with a denser mesh, to better hold your foot. And it's accented with reflective elements for round-the-clock training. It's faster thanks to the new slim Speedboard midsole. It's flexible, moves with you, and enhances your foot's springboard roll off the ground. The heel is more padded, with more cloud pods underneath, great for when you start losing form late in the run. There are eighteen pods in total, six under the heel, three sets of two, and twelve under the forefoot, three sets of four, which provide all the vertical cushion you need. Finally, there's a super-soft sockliner inside the shoe, making it so you can run sockless if you choose, a plus for fast transitions, and ultimate weight savings. The On Running Cloudrush has a 5mm heel-to-toe offset. They put it in the Neutral category.
